hold both TN and B1 visa?

Hi, I'm in the US on a TN visa, working in a finance/computer field. I also have business interests in the fashion field and would like to start a side business--I want to start a label. I know its pretty much impossible to start that in the US while I'm here on a work visa, but if I could start the business and register in Canada (and have any shipping/operations stuff done in Canada)--if there are US transactions, such as attending a tradeshow in the US, could I apply for the B1 visa for that side business, and enter temporarily for a few days, on this business visa? That is.. I leave the US while on TN visa, then re-enter with B1 visa for a few days, then leave, and re-enter with my TN visa.

You can only get B1 visa if you live outside US. From your post, you live in US, on TN. The registration of the business means nothing.

If you were living in canada, and commuting to US on TN, then you could do this, but unless you re-establish residence in canada, you won'tr be admitted in B1.
