Hello Nikkasingh,

Any insights as to why our daughter's card was not ordered alongwith ours? She is just seven and did not receive a FP appointment. Her 485 was approved but since then neither her LUD nor her status message has changed. :confused:

Didnt get any email. Best way would be to send a PM. I think your email may have gone to junk folder since you are not one of the known contacts and I never look at that folder, and it might have been trashed. Please send a PM using this forum and then we can take it further.

I dont know why they wouldnt order the three cards togethar, but it seems like this is an oft repeated mistake. I think you should call the TSC using the multiple applications method and ask about it. It is possible that someone just forgot, in that case they might correct the mistake soon enough.

Thanks a lot Nikka for your help. But what is "multiple applications method" ? Sorry for the ignorance :eek: :eek:

Elsewhere on the board, I have seen people with FP appointments for minor children and that led me to believe that to be the case for our daughter too. Thanks once more for taking time to respond.

Congrauts on getting the card.
I think you are right. My son (4 years old) had code 2 biometrics last month and several of my friend's kids also had their biometrics at that time (without any link to PD). It is worth calling them and probably they will send biometrics notice.

Thanks Toxsci for sharing this bit of information with me. We got home today to find the two GC (for my husband and me) and three approval notices (for all three of us) lying in the mailbox. The only thing that is preventing me from jumping with joy is the fact that one GC is missing :mad:

So I guess the "intezaaar" continues... : :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Anyway I will certainly act on your and Nikka's advice and call TSC on Monday. People at this forum have been so good to us and given such valuable advice that has made this period of waiting so much easier. Thanks guys. :)

Hello Toxsci,

Did you get FP notice for your son alongwith notices for you and your spouse or did it come at a later date? If yes then how late?

My husband and I got our FP notices in Nov 05 some time after the I140 was approved. Just trying to figure out what TSC is upto. Have been deterred from calling them by my husband who has been brandishing the "take no action at this time" part of the my daughter's 485 approval notice in my face all this while. :mad:

I and my wife had our FP in May 2005. My son got it in April 2006. I think at that time many of my friends kids also got FP notice (irrespective of whether their PD is current or not!). (Please see following thread for details)

Just called TSC using the method recommended by POJ and the lady said to wait for the biometrics appointment...no great surprises there :rolleyes:

We were waiting anyway ...this perhaps makes the wait official ;)

I did confirm with her that they wanted biometrics of 7 year olds and she concurred. Why couldn't they have sent FP appointments for all three of us in the first place? Unnecessary waste of time and resources, if you ask me.

Anybody else with FP appointments after 485 approval?

Son's card finally approved

Fellows, I finally got the multiple e-mails today approving card of my son. That is a big relief. Don't know what worked, my calls or Senators follow up for a case that was clear.

Anyway thanks to all your company here.
 
Congratulations to and your son, Jag. What a relief! You must be resting easy now. It took nearly a year from your GC but at least its done now.

Wonder why USCIS does this to us? As you may have noticed from my earlier posts, they have approved our daughter's 485 but haven't send her GC. She is 7 years old and did not get an FP appt when we got ours.

You have given invaluable advice and support all this time and I want to thank you most sincerely. All the best for the future and once again congratulations :) Do stick around if possible.

Thanks everyone, I will be around on the forum, atleast till Intezar's issue gets sorted out. Am in India already with AP for my son but will try to get the GC here through someone.

Intezar, one thing I did often in the past few weeks is calling TSC using option of cases getting separated. Most people were sympathetic and promised to get the case pulled up. Though I wrote thru senator as well (do not know what helped) calling must have helped too. You can do that as well. It is a little early to go to a senator.
