His mom threw away his old INS papers!!!

I asked my husband's mom who petitioned his GC to get me the copies of all the forms and notices. I thought they might ask for them at the interview. I also need them to request selective service letter. She said she threw them away thinking he'd never need them!!! OMG! :eek: :(

He still has the original EAD, old VISA and of course his GC. But I still can't make a complete list of all the dates to fill out the selective service request.

And I am worried that they might ask at the interview too... Are there ways to get copies of his old paperwork from INS? I am really freaking out here.

Explain the same in detail when you write to SSS, if they ar convinced then you are fine, if not just forget abt that status letter and don't bother and hope at the interview you are not asked for that status letter from SSS.
 
I can't comment what you might need for an SSA letter, but you definitely won't be need to take the old INS paperwork to your citizenship interview; the IO already has all that (from your A file) right there in front of them.
