High school

Hello! A friend of mine wants to bring his nephew over to the US to study at a High School. It so happens that this High School does not issue I-20s. His nephew will probably stay for only 6 to 8 months. He thought of bringing his nephew on a B-2 visa but our understanding is that the B-2 stay rule is about to change from the customary 6 mos. to only 30 days. What\'s his best shot at being able to bring his nephew over?

B2 is a long shot and cannot be student without F1

B2 visa is only for visitor purposes so nephew of your friend cannot go to high school and study right away. He will have to then transfer to F1 from a high school that allows it. So better to start with F1.
