HI to H4

I came to this country on an H4.Changed to H1B. H1B Not stamped on passport. Quit my job 5 months back. Haven't changed my status.H4 stamped on passport till Feb'06.What do i do?
1.Change status or can i go out of the country before year and for stamping on my passport?
2.WIll i need to go back to country of Origin for H4 extension as it expires in Feburary or can i get it done elsewhere?[/FONT]
 
You are currently out of status. You have to change back to H4 as soon as possible either by COS or reentering the US with H4. You should do it before it reaches 180days.
