Hello list,

Please help me with this question:

I'm a green card holder and If I happen to marry and bring a spouse from india on h1 visa. how long will it take for her to get a green card?

what are the steps for these? Is it the regular way, which mine was processes or its different for h1 married to green card?

Yours will be a regular family based Green card- I130 and I485. In most cases they can be filed concurrently, which means that she gets to use AP/EAD too...

Well i was wondering, If I file the family based green card for my spouse from my current company, how long that's gonna take before she gets a AP/EAD approval? Also what does AP/EAD stands for?

Please correct me if I am wrong but I don't think you can apply for EAD/AP if you do not have an approved or approvable (PD is current) immigration petition.
EAD is Employment authorization document used to prove eligibility to work in the US,
AP is advance parole, a document used to return to US after a frip abroad. AP and EAD are issued to people who are in adjustment of status.
Family based green card has nothing to do with your present employer. YOU are filing a petition for your wife, not your employer.
