Hi Everybody!

I'm new at the site and have a big question!
I've been going out with my American boyfriend for almost 5 years now.
I've been on all different visas and he's been in Holland (my country) for a while too. Currently I'm here on an H1b visa which will end in June.
Last week my honey proposed to me (yay!) there we go,
What to do now???!!! do we have to get married before my visa is up? does he have to get an Fiancee visa for me? do i have to leave the country? do i have to stop working? please help me!!! we have no clue what to do now!

Thanx!

If you enjoy dating just look for another boyfriend :D :D

Just kidding ;) CONGRATULATION :)

Get married before your visa expires and ask him to file the I-130 for you and you file the I-485 and a few more tons of paper work down the road you'll be a proud Permanent Resident of the US.
;)

Yeah, just get married soon if you want to get your work authorization for around the same time as when your H1 expires. You won't be able to leave the country for at least a couple of months after filling all the papers. After you get married file ALL the forms together since that makes the whole process faster. There is a total of like 6 forms.
