Help with e-ead

I am planning to renew my EAD online (e-ead) . Do I need to pay for fingerprinting when I go to ASC for dighital photo and signature .

Any reply is greatly appreciated.

You pay once

You will pay while you submit your application, with CC or electronic cheque. The fee is $175 I believe. They will give you a receipt number (MSC series) and tell you to call NCSC for a 'biometrics appointment'.
At the ASC they will print your index finger and take a picture, there is no payment involved at the ASC.
The EAD biometrics is different from the I485 related fingerprinting (and probably different from the biometrics for the actual GC.)

If someone entered US on h4 and now on AOS , what should we select in "Current Immigration Status:" while filing e-ead. I know the status will be AOS since the primary applicant's i485 is approved and h4 is no longer valid, but I do not see an option in the list.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a EAD? I am not sure if there's an option for that. If so, then maybe that should be the one that you should select.

My understanding is EAD is just a work authorization. But it is asking for currect immigration status?
