Help: Wait time for reapplying for EAD and AP

Gurus,

Apologies, I searched the forum and wasn't able to find this on the board.

My EAD and AP expire in April 2007 - can I apply for my renewal now or do I need to wait for a certain time before i reapply. :confused:

I only ask since my company wants to send me to india for a 12 month assigment to India and I want to make sure my EAD and AP come through before their April 2007 deadline so there are no problems.

---------------- file the AP, EAD 4-5 months Advance the date you want to go out of US so that you get the approved AP in hand. the AP will be valid for 1 year from the date of approval and you need to be back before AP expires.

Just to share my experience, I filed for AP renewal in TSC for me and my wife on Jul. 6, 2006. Our current AP will expire on Nov. 5, 2006. After a week, I got a notice of denial for my case explaining that AP renewal should not be filed more than 120 days (ours is 122 days early) before the expiration of current AP. Not sure if it was a different officer who processed my wife's case but hers was not denied. Had to send another application last Aug. 28 and both were approved last Sept. 12.
