HELP!!! Visa revalidation only 3 months????

I travelled to Nassau, Bahamas to revalidate my visa, however the visa expiration day is 3 months (Dec 2009)not my H-1B expiration date (AUG2011), is that normal or did the consolate screwed up? I tried to search this on google but all I got were passport expiration, please help!!
