Help!!! Typo when filling form 589

I need your advice as soon as possible.

When my attorney filed my 589 asylum application form, he made a mistake on the question "if me or my friends has been harmed or threatened before." He answered NO, but actually my friends were persecuted.

The form has been sent out and I am going to have an interview very soon. How should I correct it when I interview with immigration officer?

I will bring some evidence about my friends. But should I directly tell IO that my attorney made a mistake? If I do, will IO ask me to re-file form 589? Will that delay my case?

What is your advice? Thanks a lot!

honestly you should have your ***lawyer*** correct its own mistake ...
but , no you do not have to refile the application , when called for interview make sure you bring the evidence with you as the immigration asylum officer will go over the questions over with you
or if you wanna feel safe if you received an application number or whatever is called send the additional info along with your case number and you A#
