Help !! - Ton of Questions DV2014

Hi guys,

I was selected for SA and I have a super low number (2014SA00000XXX), which makes me wonder if I should start getting the documents.

I'm afraid of getting then now, and then they won't be valid.

Same for the medical exams.

Does anybody have an advice?

Judging from last years cut-off numbers for Asia, I see your interview either in October or November 2013. If I were you, I would prepare all the documents from now, except two, the medical certificate and police certificate. Because medical and police certificates are bound to expire. I would leave those two documents till 15 days before the interview. But, you should find out amount the amount of time required to obtain those documents, and then make a decision. Follow the upcoming bulletin closely, because it will decide whether you will have your interview in October or not. But, even if you miss October, you will definitely have your interview in November. So, you should collect all the documents from now!!! Best of luck!!!!

Congrats dear for your success. Pray a little bit for me as well, I have nearly forgotten when I had my interview, it has been ages since that time, with virtually no sign of success..

but you are SA no AS!... I'm also SA8XX, I was going through the bulletins from previous years and at least for me should be around January-February... I can not tell yours since you didn't put the number reference. South America behaves different from other regions, since there are not that many winners.

Oh, I took his case as Asian(AS) instead of South America(SA). In case of SA, I think he will have to look at January 2014 or after that. No chance before 2014. Anyways, it is the upcoming bulletin which will decide when he will have his interview.

You know its a real bugger you were put under AP because yesterday I realised how many selectee slots are potentially wasted on people who just apply and don't bother following up.

Yesterday at the Embassy I saw the list given by the consular staff to the security guards before letting us in and there must have been about 30-40 people on that list for interviews yesterday itself and only myself, two other guys (one of them was msaki2012) and a lady with her daughter who got selected attended the interview.

That meant at least 30 or so people just got selected and never bothered to go through the rest of the process and this was just for one interview day so I can imagine other interview days here and elsewhere.

My heart goes out to people who were serious about moving and hoping for selection or got put under AP.


Hang in there my friend, we still have the rest of August and September and I believe the AP cases will be done before the end of September to finish off the DV for this fiscal year.

My case number is below 200.

Any idea of when should I expect the interview ?
