Help-Staying out of US-after Green Card

Hi

Can someone Please let me know how many days can we stay outside US after recieving
the Green card i.e 6 months or 12 months, My daughter is in India
since 5 months and i would like to call her back if the duration is
6 months before she exceeded that 6 month period to maintain her
Green Card status.

Take reentry permit. Talk to the lawyer and get it soon. Valid for 2 yrs.

Thanks, But can i take re-entry permit now as my daughter is in India
or does she needs to be in US while filing for Re entry permit.

Max of 6 month without Re-entry permit

one can stay upto six month without re-entry permit ,any stay beyond six month will need re-entry permit ,
