I am a L1B holder and was laid off on April 1, 2005, I got a new offer and the my new employer filed an H1b application with 2006 cap for me. My question is, if my H1b 2006 is approved, can I stay in US till Oct 1, 2005? Or I have to leave US and come back after Oct 1, 2005?
