Hi,
Can anyone please help me regarding the following two questions in I 765 form
(1) Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS
(2) Alien Registeration number

PS: I received OPT in 2003

Find out your Alien Number!

ramesh_1,

A# is the unique, Alien Number assigned to an applicant who has progressed far enough into the system towards immigration.

In my opinion, your OPT (the one issued as part of F1 training) should not have an A# number, and it should not be valid anyway.

If you have already filed an I-485 application and received the receipt notice, that I-797C form should have your A# listed as Applicant Number.

If you do not have this number, you could leave it blank or put I-94 number from the last entry into the US, and make a note of this in your cover letter.

If you have applied for EAD before as part of OPT, you will answer YES, and fill the rest of the sections, like USCIS office where you applied for the OPT, date, granted/denied etc.

Hope this helps!
