help: service center WSC?

My wife and I got our second fp notices
today. The scheduled date is 06/18 at
charcot ave., san jose. Two questions:

1. Can I go early? How do I contact charcot
by phone to ask if I can? (or any number)
Or should I just show up there?

2. The notices have 'WSC' in service-center
column. What does it mean?

We have also got 2nd FP notices scheduled for the last week of June at BCIS, Oakland.
1. You can go early and give it a try, but FP is not guaranteed on unscheduled date.

2. WSC- Western Service Center
 
why WSC ? [and not CSC ? ]

pardon my ignorance here, but does everyone from CSC get a FP notice from WSC ?

I filed my I-485 in CSC but FP says WSC, didn't bother to care.
Who the hell knows why WSC, why not CSC, anyway?

The reason might be, all applications from Oregon, Seattle etc also falls under CSC.

I got similar notice from WSC. I think I have read it somewhere that the service center name was Western Service Center before and changed to California Cervice Center later. That's why notice receipts start with WAC from CSC and EAC from VSC (Vermont, which was Eastern Cervice Center).
So, it's a legacy thing that they forgot to change. Please stop worring about every single thing ;-(

This is what receipts for different centers mean

Fee receipts produced by the five Service Centers begin with the following letters:

EAC/ESC = Vermont Service Center (VSC)
LIN/NSC = Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
RC/SSC = Texas Service Center (TSC)
WAC/WSC = California Service Center (CSC)
MSC = Missouri Service Center (MSC)
