Help!!! Regarding Expired and never used I797

I have approved I797 document (Petition for Nonimmigrant worker) which was valid from 10/01/07 to 09/24/2010. The petition was filed in 2007. However i never used it. As My husband is working in US on H1b visa, i am now looking for job in US.
1. Can you please let me know if this I797 can be used or not.
2. Does getting I797 means cap exemption for next 6 years. If so does it mean that any employer can file cap exempted H1 for me.

I would highly appreciate early response.

hi there - Did you ever get any response on this? I am in exact same situation and hence, looking for options. Can you please advise.

Hi,

I am also on same boat, I have applied for H1b on 2008 and under the USCIS status, it is showing as approved on March, 2010. But never saw that till today. Is there any possiblity that I can reuse this and enter USA?
