Hi Rahul:
I need your advise. I posted my threads before. We are not getting anywhere with the Orlando DO. Here are the facts
PD: 05/02/2003
FP: 06/03
2. FP 08/04
Interview: 09/16/04
Received Congratulation Letter! Since then no response from INS. First they said they are waiting on the A-File. (Since October after Congressman asked). Beginning December they said A-file left Detroit. Since beggining of January they are saying File left Miami. January 26th the officer was very rude and said: I have good news and bad news. The bad news is your file hasn't arrived yet. The good news is "i saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico". And by the way nobody is working on your file anyhow because the officer who was interviewing you is on maternity leave. I don't know when she is coming back it can take up to 6 months. We told him that our son has to leave the country because his student visa is going to expire. He doesn't speak the language anymore and he doesn't know anybody in our home country. He said: He doesn't care. We need this citizenship to apply for our sons Green Card. He is family based i-130 and he aged out because his priority date didn't make it in time. Can I go to court with this? What are the steps we can do? The Orlando DO gives us the runaround. We are so helpless!!! We tried Congresman Senator. The Orlando DO doesn't response!! I am a nervous wreck! I can't eat, I can't sleep, I am so scared. Nothing is wrong with our application we did everything by the book! Please advise! Thank you!

Hi! I am so sorry, your situation needs immediate attention. i hope you get the answers you need and i hope this works out for you. sounds like the officer you talked to was uncaring and VERY RUDE.

I wish you all the best.

fanta1,

First - > Calm Down. With the INS things can go south. Relax.

Next - > Visit your congressman/senator personally and display your emotions
to the caseworkers there. They can throw some light on the case and it will start moving again. Make sure you get a defenitive answer on why your case is not moving.

Then -> Take InfoPass or visit the DO in person. Explain your situation

After that -> Can you afford a lawyer ? If so, please get one . You will file a 'Writ of Mandamus' petition in the US District Court that has jurisdiction over Orlando,FL. That itself will make matters move

The key is - >ACT NOW! Start with your politician
