my grandmother is currently on a B-2 visa in US visiting me. actually her I-94 expired on 10/24/2008, I applied the extension of stay 45 days before its expiration date. And now the case is still pending.
However my father became US citizen on 11/06/2008, he now wants to apply the GC for my grandmother. does my father have to wait until the extension of the B2 approved to apply the adjustment of status for her, or can he file the GC applications now?
