The original labor is filed before you are allowed to file the I-140, and hence the I-485. If the labor has been approved it gets filed with your I-140 and the I-485 if you can file concurrently. (Not from a retrogressed country).
A I-140 petition should always be filed with the original labor. But in cases of labor substitution cases where the original labor was used to file I-140 for the original beneficiary, the attorney/company would not have the original labor. Hence in such cases, they tend to file 140 with a copy of the previously approved labor.
Ask your attorney who filed the I-140 if they attached the original labor certificate.
Is there any way to find out if employer has withdrawn I-140 previously(like labor certificate, we can find if LC has been withdrawn). Just want to know if mine is original or a copy.
