My mother applied for I-130 (GC holder applying for son) for me in 1996. (Lloonngg time ago). My new employment based I-140 petition is about to be filed. I am an Indian national. Can I concurrently apply for I-485 using the 1993 date?

I am new to this forum. Your reply is very much appreciated.

Priority dates can only be used for applications within the same class, FB or EB. So while your FB2 priority date may be applied against another FB case, it cannot be applied against an EB case. Besides, 1996 is almost current for FB2B. Did you get married?

Thanks

Thanks a lot for your clarification.

I have couple more questions. My situation is little complicated.

My family based GC petition (marriage to US citizen) is pending for more than 18 months. It is struck in FBI name clearance per followup 6 months ago through local senator office. My current EAD is valid for another six months.

What happens to the status of my GC application in case of separation?
What happens to my GC application in case my spouse applies for divorce?

Thanks again.
