Help pl - Contacting Congressman or Senator,is it necessary to inform lawyer

Hi friends,

Do I need to inform my lawyer that I am doing status inquiry on my I-140 with congressman or senator ?

I don't think it is really necessary informing Lawyer as I485 is your application too and you can do follow up on its status apart from your lawyer. But if you have good relationship, then you can just inform him about your actions.
