Help! Passport Expiring

My passport is expiring in Oct 2003 and I will have to get a new passport. When I checked with the Indian Consulate on the passport number, they confirmed that the new passport will bear a new number.

Will this create a problem in the GC process? Also, do I have to update BCIS on the new passport change. If so, what forms should I use.

you will not have any problem

I got a new passport duing GC processing. Yes, it will have a new number. But no worries, this will not impact your GC processing.
Also you need not update BCIS.

One important issue

Make sure to have old passport number endorsed on your new passport with the correct stamp, stating something that your old passport is cancelled WITH all the te visas staying valid ..

A minor but significant issue at times .. Good Luck
