Came to US in 2002 on student visa...graduated with master's degree in 2006...secured job with H1b visa in 2006....married USC in 2006....filed I-485 & I-130 in 2006....filed EAD in july 2007....received EAD in Oct 2007.....quit job in Dec 2007...received appointment for AOS interview scheduled for march 28, 2008.
At the time we applied, my wife was not working. So we did not file affidavit of support. We received a request for additional info on financial support. Since I was working, we submitted my info. Now I am in between jobs and still looking for a career and she is not making enough to meet 125% of poverty limit. We have filed joint tax returns for the last 2 years which shows that I made more than the required limit. Will we have any problems at the interview regarding our current job situation. How can we justify our situation. Please help.....
