Help Needed....

Hi Guys,

My case is transfered to the local INS office in Philadelphia on Jan 10th 2003. I didn't get any notice from the INS saying that my case has been tranfered to philla. Is there anything wrong in my case. Should we get a notice from the INS stating about my case transfer.

I had filed for EAD renewal in Vermont for which i have got a notice abt my EAD case transfer to the local INS office. But i haven't got any notice for my i-485 case transfer.

Is anyone there in the same boat as me. When can i except my interview. How long should i wait.:( :confused:

Anyone with the same experience..... Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Dear Philapa,
A handful of people that I know are in the same boat, including me. If you make a search for my user name (Turkish Engineer), you will see my later postings are on Philadelphia transfer. In one of my postings, I attached an excel file which cotained some statistics of some of the users in this forum whose cases has been transfereed to Philadelphia in the last year or two.

You will see in the excel worksheet that there is a distribution anywhere from 3 to 6 months between the transfer date and the approval date. This distribution of 3-6 months is a good representative of the past, I think. Surely there are others who are waiting up to a year, but those cases have been rare. Some got approved even without an interview. The approvals with interviews usually got their interview letters about a months in advance.
