This is the problem of one of my best friend. He is in a lot of stress, confused and need help from experts here.
" What are the immigration consequences, when he plead guilty to a midemeanor assault charge, then attend counselling program and thereafter, prior to sentence, the misdemeanor is dismissed and a plea to a violation is inserted. The result will be a sealed record."
His I-485 process in the final stages and if he can prove that it will effect the immigration process, he will get a dismissal of the assault charge.
Please help ...
