Help needed

Gurus, my EAD is expiring on August 1st and EAD extension was approved on 25th of this month (through automated message). Do I have to have a physical card with me to continue working or I should stop working untill I get my card. Please comment if any of you have any knowledge about this.

One of my friends was in the same boat. His H1-B expired before he received the physical card but after he got his EAD approved. His attorney told him that it was OK to work because the actual validity of the new card starts from the day it was approved; not from the day you receive the card. So you should be O.K.

As long as it is approved it is fine. In my case I applied on 6/22 and I received the card along with Notice on 7/24/00. This was a renewal at VSC.

When did you sent in your EAD renewal application. I have RD of 6/12 on mine and my EAD expires on 8/13. Hopefully
I will get an approval befire that.
