Help Needed!!!

My husband and I both have pending 485 and 765 cases with the VSC. We have an address change in Dec, 2003, and have notify the center by both mail and phone call. But it wasn't until Feb. that we realize that changes haven't been properly made the the addresses, as our renewed EAD cards were returned due to wrong addresses.

After that we called the National hotline twice, and were told the same thing each time that the only thing they can do is submit request for address change. And we have to wait 30 days before resubmit another request. And seems to me that they can only access the same case status page that we can see on the website. (Question: what's the purpose of setting up the inquiry line, if they only have the same info as the website? The old help line in each service centers were hard to get in, but at least they can tell you what's in your record, and answer some questions.) Besides, we have also submitted the case status request form we get from local offices, for case exceeding 30 days. But we got no cards till this day.

My husband's 485 case has been transferred to MSC for interview scheduling. We are worried that we can't get notice timely, if ever, if the address is not right.

So can anyone give us any suggestion, besides submitting request, and not knowing if anything has been done to those requests. Is there another number we can call? I have heard of being transferred to a specialist, who actually works in the service centers and knows something, how can I do that?

Thanks a bunch.

All you can do is request for that specialist so called, TIER II immigration officer. Only that officer can tell you for updated address. 800# representatives won't help you as they are just contract firm who have no answers.

You just have to wait for this new address change to be implemented.

You can use the expedite fax# if you are in urgent need of those EAD cards and by explaining your situaiton.
The expedite # is 802-527-4816.

Give them the proof that you mailed AR-11, i am sure you made a copy of that. And tell them you need the EAD's to continue your employment. Unfortunatley this is all you can do .
You can seek help from the senators as well.
go to
www.senate.gov and look for you senator under your state.

I was in same situation when these "BAST***S" don't update addresses and my 2nd fingerprint notifications were sent back.

Thanks for the timely reply. I have already submitted the AR-II, and will try the fax number right away. I am still not sure how I get to speak to the Tier II immigration officers. Please let me know. Thanks.

Just tell them (Tier I) that, you need to talk to Tier II officer to discuss your case.

For change of address, after submitting AC11,
can I know which no. to call and get confirmation.
Thanks

I tried, but they don't forward my call. Do I have the right to insist that?

You don't have the right, but you can always insist. Tell them that your renewed EAD cards were returned due to wrong addresses and need to talk to Tier II to get the cards. Some people in this forum have succeeded in talking to Tier II.
