Help needed with waiver

Hi,

I am new to this website and I am in the process of filing my J1 Waiver.

1) If I go to CGI Houston in person (I live outside Texas but my state comes under CGI Houston's jurisdiction), will I get my NORI on the same day?

2) If my employer agrees to extend my current J1 contract my one more year, do I still need to get a waiver for the current J1 before it expires?

Thanks a lot in advance. I have seen some valuable and timely suggestions on this website. I hope to receive some help too

1- I do not know
2- Do not apply for waiver until you get the extension first. It is one waiver only if the extension is continuous. I extended mine three times the I applied for waiver
