help needed to talk to Lawyer

I filed I-485 in Jan 2004 and have finished Fingerprints at Sep 2004, now my case seems sleeping somehere.
I am working for a big company and it sponsor me, I finally be able to make an appointment with the lawyer, need help to preapre for the meeting, any suggestions are welcomed.
