Help Needed Regarding US Citizenship

Hi,

I am an Indian Citizen, I am applying for US Citizenship. so Once I clear my US Citizenship, how this will differ my rights Regards to India with respect to Real estate Selling and Buying. Could I able to do the same after getting US citizenship or Do I need to something else?

Please Guide.

Isn't there a requirement that you have to wait for 5 years (after you get your green card) before you can apply for US citizenship? I don't have all the details about your second question, but if you got your GC recently, you have plenty of time to find answers :) .

As akgarg said, you have 3 yrs before you are eligible for US citizenship.
For real estate buying and selling after US citizenship, you will have to acquire either a PIO or OCI visa. Those will allow you same parity as NRIs, i.e. you can buy/sell property in India except agricultural lands, but if you already have agri lands before becoming US citizen, they will still be yours.

Now what will these rules be after 3-4 years, who knows! ;)
 
Yes, as a US citizen with PIO or OCI registration, you can buy and sell real-estate EXCEPT agricultural land and plantation.
