There had been a law that if you married an American citizen, you automatically became a citizen?
my stepfather was lazy about getting us citizenship and my mother was too timid to bring up a touchy subject to my stepdad.
I have met someone and we plan to get married.
My fiance` is also an American citizen, and that was the best bet to apply for permanent residency.
But doesn't it matter that I do not have a visa, passport, or I-94 form?
