Fellow applicants,

I am trying to apply for the National Interest Waiver, and I need some advice on how to find if there are any citations of my two conference papers. One is from OCEANS 2002, and the other one is from OMAE 2005 conference. I will try Web of Science through my spouse who is a student, but for that I need to go to the university library. Are there any other sources that are not too costly?

Any help is much appreciated. Good luck everyone with their immigrant efforts!

Try Google Scholar. That worked quite well for my papers and I also found citations which were not listed in Web of Science.

don't be lazy buddy!
my exp says you tend to miss few in every search engines for citations
use all so that you don't miss any!!!
also
1. Good well worded report of citations. analysing whos of who of field have quoted your articles.
2. It will nice to have letters from people who have quoted your papers.
3. Prepare small report on publications impact like circulations, impacts.

eb1doc, kgp12,

thanks for your input. No, I cannot be called lazy at all when it comes to this matter. I tried Google search, I found one of the two papers I had, but no citations. Maybe I don't have any, but I'll try Web of Science tomorrow. If you have any other search engine that you have used, eb1doc, please let me know so that I can try it. Cheers, guys!

Why do you need the university library to browse Web of Science?....I mean its a free service and you dont need to pay for it!.....I use it all the time....they even e-mail alert me whenever my paper gets cited...I think its far more accurate and updated more regularly than Google or Scholar.

If you can send me the link that I can use from home, it would be great. I couldn't figure out how to log on myself. Thanks!
