Help needed - L1 to H1 with COS (Premium Processing)

Help needed - L1 to H1 with COS (Premium Processing) - travel to india

Really appreaciate if someone can ask the questions mentioned at the end of the thread. Following is the plan

- April 01, 2007 – apply H1 with COS
- April/May – approval of H1 with COS
- July – travel to India and go to consulate to stamp my L1 (NOT H1) as my L1 visa is expired and I recently extended my L1 status in US.
- July/August – travel back to US on L1

Can someone please answer the following questions

- Is the H1 COS still valid or Can I start on H1 from Oct 1st 2007?
- If no, can I apply for COS in August or should I go outside US and then come to US on H1 after Sep 07?

I know that article at Murhty's site, but the problem is nobody can verify that info.. It seems that the letter was sent to Murthy's office responding to their query and not publicly available. It's better talk to lawyer before jumping into conclusion.
 
Yup - I do agree with you. I googled and found out the name of the person and searched with his name and found out some other material, which tells the same things as given in Murthy.com - though none official.
I guess I will wait until H1 is approved and then will see what I can do.
