Help Needed - I140/485 & FBI criminal records

Hello.

Rajiv and rest of communities, hello and I need help/advise.

I am new here. Both me and my husband filed concurrent 140/485 last year and we are both on L1 visa. Still no news with our I140/485. My L1 visa is expiring and my company lawyer intend to renew it.

Question. Last year my husband and I were involved in a domestic violence when he called the cops. We were both detained in prison and released the next day. On that night we had our finger prints taken electronically. So I assume FBI will now have a criminal record on both of us? We were not charged in court for the offence.

Will this have any repercussion on both our case especially my L1 renewal? I had to check "Yes" on the question of criminal offence. And could that be the reason why our I140 are still unapproved? I am getting very scared now. I regretted and hated so much that we both quarreled and my husband called the cops. But we are okay now. It was just those rare moments when reasoning overule our emotions.

Please respond if anyone of you know what I am getting into.

My wife recently renewed her L2 in China. She was charged in court for a minor dismeanor (shop lifting) when she attended high school here. Although she was not finger printed, I think the FBI has her record but her L2 was renewed. Not sure about your case being finger printed. Maybe you should talk to a qualified lawyer as it may cause you not to get your L1 and also your GC. I dont want to scare you or give you the wrong advise. Guys, please chime in.
