Help Needed from you Guru\'s on Address Change

not really...I guess I read somewhere on this board...
that the post office forwards mails from INS(like FP notice)...so if you are close by you can go to the same center(ASC) for your FP...otherwise you can go to your local INS center....and they should be able to do the FP..without any issues....

No--Mail from INS *cannot* be forwarded
I have a mailslot, not mailbox, and for some reason, the
mailman returned my EAD to VSC as undeliverable. When I went
to the local INS office (Pittsburgh) to apply for an EAD in person
(which is what I\'d been told to do), they told me that the card was
issued and returned in the mail. Another couple were told that
their plastic GC had also been returned.
I called an IIO and sorted it out. But she again restated that no
INS mail can be forwarded--it must be returned to the service
center. Even if you change your address with the post office, it
does not count.
Call the IIO--they will sort it out for you. The IIO I spoke to told me
to write to VSC as well as they like a written copy for your files.

guys, trust me, there is nothing for sure with the USPS. I just got my EAd & AP, forwarded from NJ to Miami !!!!
so, just make sure you forward the mail, check the status on AVM and then if 14 days have passed (actually give it 20 days), call and speak with the IIO.
Individual experiences are important but that does not determine everybody\'s destiny. So, peeps, chill out !
