help needed for contacting congressman or senator

My case has been stuck in the FBI name check and I plan to contact the local congressman or senator. Do anyone have a sample letter to congressman or senator about this kinda issue? Could you please share it with me and send to my email address is xishuitianya@yahoo.com?

In my letter to the congressman or senator, should I include all the information about my cases? My A#, receipt no,receipt date? Or I can include a copy of the i-485?

I am very confused and don't know how to begin the first step now. Your kind advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

I live in Long Island NY.I contacted congressman(Tim Bishops office)last year and they have been very helpful.I didn't write them i went there personally.
You can find their contact adress from the internet.

You should definitely tell him your situation, agency that you are dealing with and also case numebr. He'll forward it to related agency. I got response from my congressman very soon after I dropped the letter. And also after that he forwarded more letters that he got to me. My suggestion is also to keep him post so that he knows where you are at each time he contacts you.
