Here are some of the fact for my case
1) I-140 , EAD, parole etc all approved from TSC.
2) Got 2nd FP from TSC in dec
3) Contacted Senator 2 weeks back
4) Changed my Job using AC21.

Today I got a letter from my senator that since I live in Indian TSC has transferred my case to NSC.

Here are my questions:
1) Is anybody out there in similar boat?
2) What is going to be the process from here?
3) Will NSC treat me as a new case at NSC?
4) Will I have to provide lots of information to NSC?
5) Is there a possibility that it willl get transferred to local INS?

Please help me here guys. This process has already taken close to 5 year.

thanks in anticipation.

If you order a set of I-485 forms (I ordered twice) from INS, you will see on the cover sheet saying you have to file your I-485 with the service center approving your I-140. So I do not think it is right for TSC to transfer your file to NSC. You can show them the INS rule and ask the case to be adjudicated at TSC. Are you sure your case is transferred to NSC not local INS office? A lot of people filed their I-485 to the service center not in their living area because company headquarter is at a different state. If every center does the same transfer, things will be really messed up.

Where did you get your LC approved?

Why not argue with INS (or have your lawyer argue with) INS to stop the transfer using INS own rule as you are so close to approval?

What should you do in this kind of situation....

It seems my LC and I-140 is done from VSC but lawyer send my I-485 to TSC...as I put my current address in Oklahoma...

Address is changing all the time.. as I working in different project as contractor...

I already got my EAD and AP...

RD is 11/09/01......(I-485)

Anything I can do right now to avoid delays...

Please help

I am in same boat

Today I went for 2nd FP and heard this message on AVM, that the file has been transferred to Nebraska. did you find anything more from your lawyer?

If your I-140 was approved at TSC, your I-485 should be handled by TSC. They may transfer your case to local INS office (like Chicago) for interview but it will not be right to tranfer it to NSC. I am working in CA now but my I-485 has been pending with TSC since 6/01. I filed it to TSC per my attorney\'s instructions and also written instructions directly from INS. I know at least three of my personal friends having similar situation to mine.

What did your lawyer say?

should i inform INS when i am waiting for I-485 approval?

Have you informed INS your address change? I am facing
similar problem, I don\'t what to do now.

I have file I-485 (National Interest Waiver) on 5/11/01 and got the
receipt on 6/12/01. I just changed job recently and moved to
California from Minnesoda. My I-485 was filed at NSC. Should I
inform the INS of address change? If so, will INS transfer my
files to CSC? What is the consequence if I inform INS?

Thanks a lot.\'

I moved to CA before my NIW I-140 was approved. So when I filed my I-485, I already worked for a CA company. You can notify your change of address to NSC and I do not believe that will affect your case. I have said many times that BY RULE one MUST file their EB based I-485 to the service center approving their I-140. Although on I-485 form, the instructions said you need to file to the center in your area. But if you order a set of form directly from INS, you will see the black letter instrcutions on the cover sheet. My friends and I ordered total 3 times and no exception. For some reason, some attorneys do not know the rule, although my lawyer knows.

May be 2nd FP has to do something with that

I am seeing that the common thing between my and troubled is that it happened after 2nd FP. My lawyer does not have any idea.
