need your advise..........

I applied I-140/485 semi concurrent in Nov 03. I renewed my H1 Dec 03. I was on the 4th year of H1B. I got EAD card in March 04 and never used it. My spouse got EAD card valid in May 04. My spouse used EAD card in early Sep 04,

My questions:
1. dependent use EAD will affect my status? What is the status I am now at?
2. Can I still renew H1B after 6th year?
3. Or do I need to use EAD immediately after my spouse used EAD?
4. Do I need to notify HR to change my I-9 records
5. Any concern about the time period between Sep 04 to Jan 05?

2. Can I still renew H1B after 6th year? ------ Yes based on pending I-140/I-485. Apply atleast 90 days before your H1-B expires.
