One of my friend has recieved a conditional GC thru marriage and the deadline for the condition is until end of next year. The problem is that she is going thru an abusive marriage and wants to take a divorce from her husband. But she is worried that how will it effect her status???

First , You need someone who can help them with marital issues .
It you cannot get things resolved , She does have her status as a Conditional Permanent resident till 2 years from the date of approval , and then she would have to apply as a battered spouse to remove conditions .
She will need legal help to do this .

First of all, get out of that relationship as soon as possible.
Don't forget to call the police and have your case documented.
Sooner or later you'll need proof of what happened to you.
Get some legal help for filing divorce.
In cases like this you don't have to wait 2 years to file for Removal of Conditions

If you are no longer married to your spouse, or if you have been battered or abused by your spouse, you can apply to waive the joint filing requirement. In such cases, you may apply to remove the conditions on your permanent residence any time after you become a conditional resident, but before you are removed from the country.
