My EAD expired on 12/28/2006 . Is it too late for me to apply for an EAD renewal ? Also , I need to apply for an AP renewal as it expired on 1/19/2007 .
Do I apply for renewal just like normal , or do I have to do anything special or am I just screwed since I missed the EAD expiry date :(

I goofed up bigtime since I relied on my I-94 date to be the same as the EAD/AP expiry date but this was just plain stupid ... Pl. advise if there is any way I can save my EAD.AP renewal .

any suggestions ...

You are good to renew your EAD/AP anytime even if its expired already. Only drawback is that you cannot work until you get your EAD card physically on hand. Now the wait time is minimum 3 months and there are threads where guys are waiting for over 6 months. Good Luck!

Want GC Soon ,
Thanks for the response . Thats a relief to hear that at least I'm not in any danger of losing my EAD/AP.

Is there any benefit in doing the online application or is it safer/reliable to do the paper application itself ?
The last time , I had a lawyer do this for me but this time around , I'll be doing it so i wanted to be sure I take the safest route :)

You can do it online, it saves time. I have done it twice and have been successful. No big deal!

Your problem is not with renewing the EAD - that can happen even after expiry of the old one.

If you were working on the "now expired" EAD, you would have to stop working ASAP till you get the new EAD card.
Don't work without authorization -- safest way to make sure you won't face any complications in your immigration journey is to take an unpaid leave of absence and resume working with the new EAD.

dont panic, apply for ead renewal, sit back and relax. there is nothing to worry much. i know it is hard to sit back and relax when there is no pay, but there is no other way which i could think. it happened to me last year.

get me one did you get your gc and did you have any problems from gap in ead. Did you get benefits or were you completely terminated and rehired

If it's an EB case, 245k can cover you for up to 180 days.
