I have recently just sent my wife's I 130 to the Chicago Lock box and I realized that I left block 22, the location for interview empty and I should have put Kuwait City Kuwait. What do I need to do and how much of a problem is this going to be?

Thanks in advance.

Question 22 is only completed if she is in the U.S. and applying for adjustment of status

I thought the same thing, however the second part addresses the overseas location. I need to no how to correct this since it has already arrived at the lock box in Chicago.

The entire question is only filled out if she is in the U.S. and applying for adjustment of status. The second part is only relevant if she applies for adjustment of status but it turns out that she is not eligible for it.

Or if they want consular processing but want it to be in a different country than their country of residence (provided they're also eligible for CP in the requested country). For example, a British citizen living in Germany can choose to be interviewed at a consulate in the UK; if they leave question 22 blank, by default they'd be assigned to a consulate in Germany.

So by this statement as long as I gave her residence as Kuwait, by default they will assign the interview to the US consulate in Kuwait and then I was correct not to fill out section 22. ? If that is the case I did not screw up and leave it blank.

Correct, you didn't screw up by leaving it blank. It also would have been OK if you requested a consulate in Kuwait.
