My ND is in November 02 and recently I have completed my first FP. I also did the medicals, without having the RFE, I will need them anyway soon.
I was thinking to send the medicals to USCIS, to save some time, without waiting for the RFE. My lawyer says that I should not send the them until USCIS ask, because we don't know if the application is transfered to the local office or it is still in Texas. Is he right?
Since TSC is now officially at december, should I call them to ask for RFE for medicals?
Thanks.

Opinion on Medical

Is my opinion that you should keep the Medical records until they ask for, otherwise they may get lost.

If you were FP just recently I will suggest to wait for 2~3 months and I think your case will be asigned to an officer, then he may ask for the Medical Records. Keep in mind that the validity of these Medical records is of 1 year, so hopefully you will be approved before they expire.

Hang on!!!

Why do you think you will need medical? Did you not do it while filing for I-485.
Even though validy for medical is 1 year, USCIS has been accepting originally filed medical.
In either case I will agree with your lawyer....didn't ask..don't give.

Validity of medical

Are the medicals done during 485 valid only for a year? Really? I filed my 485 in Oct '02. Am I going to get RFE on my medicals? Is it good to keep them ready?

Thanks for your responses.
No, I did not do the medicals when I filed I485.

I485 ND - Nov 02
First FP - January 04

I thought so it was 2005 too

Yeah. Since you have not got your medical done , they are going to ask for it for sure. Good idea to keep the papers ready but don't send them before they ask.
