Can anyone help me understand what the heck this means?
Quick background: Filed I-485 in NYC in 9/04. Received notice in 9/05 stating it was transferred to the CSC. E-mailed CSC earlier this month to inquire on the status, and received response from M. Bueno stating that it was located at the VSC. Wrote letter to VSC asking the status, and received reply that they had no record of it. E-mailed M. Bueno again to ask him to double check that it was transferred to VSC - and received the below:
M. Bueno replied to an e-mail we had sent last week with the following:
The system indicates that the A# file is located at Vermont Service
Center but the system indicates the file is
LOST. California Service Center has the TEMPORARY A# file, which was
created due to the fact the original
A# File is lost.
The temp. file is under congressional review at this time. Hopefully a
decision or transaction notice
will be done within 60 days. Sorry for the confussion and best of luck.
