Help! LC from Maine, payroll from NJ, any 485 issues?

Hi,
I am in my 6th year of H1B. Current I-140 will most likely be denied. Now I am getting an offer from a company that has a pre-approved labor from Maine(they have a branch office there). Their head office is in NJ and my payroll will also be run from NJ.

Do you see any issue at 485 stage? Please advise.

My understanding is that even though consulting companies can have their employees working in any part of the country, but atleast the payroll should be run from the place of LC.

Please see more details about my case at http://immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=142395.

Thanks,
Eric

Payroll and State taxes

Thank you UN for your quick response and all the suggestions.

I just need one more clarification. When you mention that large companies some times process payroll from one central location, that should be fine. Do you mean just the actual processing and printing of paychecks or does it also apply to the state taxes that they with-hold?

For example if they process payroll from NJ and withold NJ taxes, this means I am employed in their NJ head office. On the other hand, if they process payroll at their NJ location but actully with hold Maine taxes, then it means I am employed at their Maine branch office. Please comment.

Thanks,
Eric
