Hi Guys,

I have just called CSC. Their rep. told me that "undergoing system checks" (this is what CSC wrote in response to my inquiry) is not the same as Name Check. When I have asked what is it, I understood she didn't know or didn't want to say what it is.

Does anyone knows what it means "undergoing system checks"?
what actually is happening?

Regards

I've only seen this being used for Name checks.

How do you know that this is not the same as name check ?

I have aksed CSC rep. "is this the same thing as name check".
She said "no". "What is it" I asked. She said "this is something else -
your case is undergoing additional system checks and it's gonna take
180 days". Like the letter was saying.

That's why I am wondering what the hell this additional system checks
can be.

Which number did you call ? The usual 800 number or the CSC emergency number ?
It it was the NCS 800 number, then I wouldn't place too much trust on what was said by the phone rep.

System check wait has almost always been due to name check. Do you know if your name check has been cleared ?
That might answer your question.

I have used 1-949-389-3007 (CSC).

Today I have also recived a response on my FOIPA request.
It says "No records".

I wanted to send an email to FBI, but now I don't know if I have to.

They are one and the same

System checks, additional system checks, background check, overseas check.....etc etc etc
I believe these are all one and the same....

any other thoughts?

call ur local congressmen , send them and the senator a letter about the namecheck problems.
they will initiate enquiry with FBI and UCIS and you will know at least when it was applied for namecheck, secondly it help to set a baseline if the namecheck gets delayed forever :(
