Help!AOS Intrvw held today but online status showing as interview cancelled

In a unique situation (I think)...

Had my marriage based AOS interview today at the charlotte DO. The interview in itself was hardly anything as the guys did not ask any questions other than proof of ownership of house, Pay stubs, 2005 W2 and Birth certificate of our child.

GC was NOT stamped on the passport due to 'pending Name Check'!
Well, if that were not enough, I get home and check the case-status online, and it says:
"The interview scheduled in this case has been canceled. You will be notified if the interview is rescheduled."

Is it just a glich that will be taken care of later or is something seriously wrong. I did call the service center and they had absolutely no clue as to what was happening. Anyway, I went ahead and scheduled an infopass appointment for the 28th (earliest available date).

Wanted to ask if anybody else had similar experience or if any advise is out there.

I don't think you should worry too much. The INS makes a lot of mistakes, and their online "thing" seems not to work quite well, in one word, they're not organized :D .
Congrats to you by the way !
When did the officer told you your GC would arrive in the mail ? If you see that the GC didn't arrived by that time, call the Service Center or make an infopass appointment.
I had my interview yesterday and my son's and my I-130 were updated the same day (approved message). Today I checked the status for the I-485, and of course, the case number was not found, that's a message they put here, I think while we're waiting for the "right" message to be updated...

Ema.

Ema, the person says that is pending due to name check...

ageorge, the status online many times is not accurate; since you had already your interview that is the most important thing I wouldn't worry for what it says about a cancellation. Anyway, now you must contact your congresswoman/man to see if they can help you out to see what is going on with your FBI name check.

Good luck,

Thank you guys/gals for your reply and advise...I do plan on contacting the congresswoman/man...hope they help out. In some cases (in this forum) I have read that even that does not help much.

The immigration official said that it normally should not take more than a month for the name check to be complete and the GC to arrive. But then, I don't think he reads this forum!! :)

Thanks again!

Hanging in there ageorge, just keep that moving or calling that is the only way.

Don't worry Ema, by the way did I tell you before Congrats?
