Hi
My GC is approved on 30th Aug 2004 and waiting for the approval letter.I may go for stamping at New orleans office next week once i get the approval letter. My question is

1. If i change the address for my GC card to my friend's permenant address in my same locality since i may be moving out of this apartment in a month will it cause any delays in getting the card.

2. once i change the address for the GC card do i need to change the AR11 form and do i also need to change my address with USCIS customerservice calling the 1-800 no.

please give sugesstions...

Update the address in the USCIS center where you are getting stampping and also file AR11 and call customer service with the new address.

Hope you don't loose your cards in mail.

Officer will fill a form called I-89 at the time stamping. On that form ask him to write your new address or fill out your friend's address. Tell officer the situation. They will help you out. Remember card goes to the address on I-89 not to the address on the I-485 application

Fill the out independent AR-11 form for you, dependents and also call USCIS to update your address .
One of my friend did not send the AR11 and as of now he and his dependents
did not get plastic green card after they were stamped one year back.

Hope this helps
