Help! I really need some help with this simple question about AOS appt. letters

Hi guys, I received an online LUD about my "response to RFE" on September 8th. In the message, USCIS informed me that "bcos pre-limenary processing was complete, the expected completion time should be less than that stated in this message....bla bla" I've been checking my case status online since then and nothing, I wanted to know if the AOS interview appointment letter just shows up in the mail w/out any online status or will it say online that they have sent an interview letter. Also, is it me or has USCIS slowed up a little bit in the last month. Do RFE's significantly delay processing times?

Please help.
