I was married and divorced before i came to the U.S and my then last name was different but i have been using my now last name since i came here. I forgot to list it on the N-400 form. Can i correct that during interview or they would deny my application?

Please help!

Thank you.

Also did i have to list my nickname what people call me?

Thanks.

You can correct it during the interview. It will likely require another name check, but you must still mention it.

Yes, it might delay the decision. But if they find out about your other name on their own and you don't tell them, you'll have bigger problems. So tell the interview interviewer about that name, and deal with the delay if it happens.

Sending another application would complicate things more.

I read that it is possible to let the officer at the finger print office about this and they can actually check the name i forgot to list the original form. Do you know anything about it?

Thanks in advance
